What is an ottoman bed?

Why is it called an ottoman bed?
The name comes from the traditional ottoman — a cushioned, hinged-lid storage seat popular since the 18th century. An ottoman bed applies the same lift-up storage idea to a full bed base.
What are the disadvantages of an ottoman bed?

Can I put any mattress on an ottoman bed?

What's better, a divan or an ottoman bed?

How long is delivery?
We offer two services. Standard is dispatched in 5–10 working days — free on orders of £400 or more, £18 below that. Express is dispatched in 2–4 working days — £8 on orders of £400 or more, £26 below that. Choose at checkout. See our full shipping & delivery page.
Can you assemble the bed for me?
Yes. Assembly is an optional extra at £50 per bed, carried out at the time of delivery. See our bed assembly service page.
Can you make a bed in a custom size?
Yes — we manufacture our frames in our own UK workshop, so we can build to non-standard sizes, fabrics and headboard styles. Most custom orders are ready in around a week. See bespoke ottoman beds.
Can I return my bed?
Yes — you have 14 days from delivery to tell us you've changed your mind, and 14 more to return the bed. Genuinely bespoke beds and unsealed mattresses are excluded, and this doesn't affect your statutory rights if something is faulty. See our Returns & Refunds page.
