We don't just sell ottoman beds — we make them. Because the frames are built in our own UK workshop rather than shipped in from overseas, we can change almost anything about them: the fabric, the colour, the dimensions, the headboard, the storage. And because there's no factory on the other side of the world in the chain, most custom orders are ready in around a week, not the eight to twelve weeks bespoke furniture usually takes.

Why a maker can do this and a reseller can't
Most online bed retailers are resellers. They buy finished frames in fixed sizes and colours from a supplier, often overseas, and sell what arrives. If you need a bed 8cm narrower to clear a chimney breast, there is nothing they can do — the frame doesn't exist.
Because we build the frames ourselves, a non-standard width is simply a different cut. That is the practical difference between buying from a manufacturer and buying from a middleman.
How long does a custom bed take?
Most custom orders leave our workshop in around a week — about the same as a standard order. We'll confirm the exact timeline when we quote, since a heavily bespoke frame can take a little longer than a simple fabric change.

- Awkward room shapes — a few centimetres narrower to fit between a chimney breast and a wall, or shorter for a room with a sloped ceiling
- Loft conversions and box rooms — reduced headboard height to sit under a slope or window
- Matching an existing scheme — a specific fabric or colour to match curtains, a headboard or existing furniture
- Deeper storage — a taller base for bulkier winter bedding or storage boxes
- Non-UK mattresses — frames built to European or US mattress dimensions
- Replacing one bed in a set — building a new frame to match something you already own
Trade, contract & bulk orders
We supply landlords, letting agents, HMOs and student accommodation, hotels and guest houses, care homes, and property developers furnishing multiple rooms. Manufacturing in-house means we can hold a consistent specification across a whole order and repeat it later when you need more.
One important note for contract buyers: beds for domestic use are tested to BS 7177 at Low Hazard level, but commercial settings such as hotels and care homes generally require a higher fire-retardancy rating (Medium Hazard, commonly referred to as Crib 5). Tell us the setting when you enquire and we'll confirm the correct specification for your project rather than guessing.

Can you make an ottoman bed to a custom size?
Yes. Because we manufacture the frames ourselves, we can build to non-standard widths and lengths — for alcoves, sloped ceilings, loft rooms or non-UK mattress sizes. Send us the dimensions and we'll confirm what's possible.

Do you make beds for hotels, landlords or care homes?
Yes, we take trade, contract and bulk orders and can hold a consistent specification across multiple rooms. Contract settings usually require a higher fire-retardancy rating than domestic — tell us the setting and we'll confirm the correct specification.
Does a custom bed cost much more?
It depends entirely on what's changing. A different fabric or colour is often little or no different from standard; altered dimensions or a redesigned headboard cost more. We quote each custom job individually so there are no surprises.
