Does low mean less storage?

No — storage capacity depends on the depth of the lifted well, not the resting height of the mattress. Many low-profile ottoman beds still offer generous storage once opened.

Want a higher ottoman bed?

Look for frames with a taller platform base or add-on bed risers (check the manufacturer allows this, since risers can affect strut geometry). Some ranges also offer a "high base" option specifically for this.

Is a lower bed better or worse?
